BIZKEYS, LLC (bizkeys.tempurl.host) provides a comprehensive guide to information and resources formatted into easily accessed data, documents, and actionable processes within the scope of  employment issues. It is designed to assist  Hospitality Industry establishments in coping with state and federal laws, regulations, statutes, and general employment related issues threatening this industry.

BIZKEYS FEATURES

BizKeys features an A to Z reference section with information on more than 2,000 human resources and employment related topics. The site provides quick and easy access to employment statistics on both national and state levels, as well as a Resource Library that addresses topics such as: government news releases; current HR-related legislation and 3,500 business forms available to print and use. The Design Shop offers more than 100 sample policies that can be edited to match your company requirements. The Design Shop includes tools to help you write job descriptions, as well as design an employee handbook and an affirmative action plan. There’s also a discussion board for communicating with peer group members. A Hiring Center (coming soon!) will help you hire and screen job applicants online. News, alerts, surveys, and current employment numbers are all included on the homepage.

BIZKEYS, LLC was founded by Jack Hobbs on September 16, 2009 and bizkeys.tempurl.host was launched on April 19, 2010

Jack Hobbs

Jack Hobbs spent more than 15 years as a human resource director and 16 years as owner of  Hobbs Staffing Services, a multi-state staffing company. As a human resources professional, his labor and employment experience includes: involvement in arbitration hearings over the placement of temporary employees in a unionized facility; litigation of Workers’ Compensation cases; EEOC litigation; immigration compliance; unfair labor practice charges during a work stoppage; affirmative action plan development and maintenance; controlling labor cost and regulatory compliance in employment and maintaining a union free environment.

He received a B.A. degree in psychology from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is an accredited human resources professional.

A Vietnam veteran, he received a Bronze Star for meritorious service while serving as a Marine Corp Lieutenant during active duty in Vietnam.

 

David B. Ramsay

Having worked for SunTrust for more than 46 years, David Ramsay retired in October, 2007 as the Chairman, President and CEO of SunTrust Bank, Northwest Florida, a position he held for twelve years.  Before transferring to Florida in 1995, he served as Chairman, President and CEO of SunTrust Banks in northeast and middle Tennessee, and as Executive Vice President of SunTrust Bank in Nashville.

In 1995, he was assigned to Tallahassee as that bank’s President and CEO, with the title of Chairman being added a year later.  Subsequent acquisitions in Marianna and Chattahoochee expanded the bank beyond Leon County, and in 1999, SunTrust banks in Pensacola, Panama City, Fort Walton and Destin were added to his responsibilities resulting in the creation of SunTrust Bank, Northwest Florida.   At year end 2006, the bank operated 31 branches in eight counties and held deposits in excess of $1.5 billion.

Dave is active in community and statewide organizations.  He has served as Chairman of the local Economic Development Council and as the Chairman of the Board and Campaign Chair for the United Way of the Big Bend.  He was appointed by Governor Bush, and confirmed by the Florida Senate, to serve on the Governor’s Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service, also known as Volunteer Florida, and subsequently Chaired that Commission.  Secretary of State Sue Cobb appointed him to the board of the Friends of Mission San Luis, and for consecutive two-year terms Secretaries Kurt Browning and Dawn Roberts appointed him as its Chairman, a position he presently holds.

 

Bill Trumpeter

Bill Trumpeter is a labor attorney whose practice focuses on traditional labor law, equal employment opportunity litigation, and FLSA matters. He represents national, regional, and local clients in union avoidance, negotiations, arbitration, and mediation. He has successfully represented a national restaurant chain in a class-type FLSA case, as well as hundreds of labor arbitration cases, covering a variety of issues. He also provides training for clients wishing to be proactive in avoiding legal problems before they arise.

Bill received his J.D. at the University of Toledo and B.A. from Wittenberg University. He has Bar Admissions in Georgia, Ohio, and Tennessee.

Bill has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Labor and Employment Law since 1993. He is also listed in the 2007 Super Lawyers for Tennessee and has been listed in Best Lawyers in Georgia and Mid-South Super Lawyers.

 

Don Baker

University of Tennessee, B.S., Accounting (’65);   J.D. – U.T. College of Law (’67).

USAF (1967-1972).   Two years as a launch control officer in Minuteman II; and, two years as a Judge Advocate General at Keesler AFB, MS.

Retired Attorney with over 40 years’ experience in the areas of business organization, corporate work with the last 14 years at the Tennessee Valley Authority as Manager of their intellectual properties section of the power and energy research and development division.  Post-employment work included consulting on intellectual properties and business organization matters for matters for a start-up fuel cell company.
